The Number One Reason The Universe Has Your Back

Ever wondered why people rave about this mystical thing they call the universe?
What’s it all about?
What does it do for us?

Even if you don’t believe in religion or even spirituality, let me explain to you what the universe gives me, every single day. It all starts with synchronicity; meaningful coincidences.

Have you always thought that nothing happens by chance? That the people we meet play an integral part in our life, even if just for one moment?

Perhaps you feel that we all have a predetermined path. Do you feel as though where you are in your life, right now, is exactly where you are meant to be?

I can see you nodding as recognition starts to set in. You 100% believe that there’s something out there bigger than us. Even if you can’t see it. Even if you can’t hear it, or touch it… you know it’s there.

Then doubt starts to set in. You start questioning, wondering, if this really is the case then why is so much bad shit happening in the world?

Children are dying.
People are committing murder.
Animals are becoming extinct.

Surely those actions are not performed by the universe?

But even with all of that aside, you still hold on to your belief. The belief that the universe is watching.

Which brings me to this question; How do you know that the universe has your best interests at heart? That its intentions are pure. That there is a light at the end of the darkness?

It’s simple; hope.

Hope is the what keeps us going.

When life throws us curveballs, when we are lost in our own darkness, we hold on… because of hope.

When we question our existence, when we are hurt, when we are sick, hope keeps us going.

The universe gives us hope so that we can live in a world of possibilities, rather than a world of fear.

And when we are in despair, when we don’t know if we can keep going, we reach out to the universe. We ask for help.

It’s like the concept of heaven and hell. Mankind has been conditioned to dislike hell. It’s embedded in our minds that we fear hell. If we think our time is up, we’ll start questioning what happens to our mind, our body, our spirit.

Where will we go?
Is there life after death?
Is there a heaven?

We start searching for answers, calling upon faith to do the right thing by us.

That’s why even those of us that don’t believe in God, angels, spirits (whatever you want to call the higher divine), still pray when we think there is a glimmer of hope that someone, or something, is listening. We pray because of hope. We hope that there is a chance, no matter how small, that there is something out there bigger than us. That whoever ‘they’ are, are listening to us.

When we think our time is up.
When we think someone we love may be someone we are about to lose.

We pray.

And that’s why I love the universe.

Even during our darkest days, it gives us hope. And without hope, I know firsthand that my life would not be like it is right this very moment; full of love and beauty.

So thank you universe, for always having our back and giving us hope.
